Sorry but photoshop CS2 has NEVER been a legal free download. You must have a valid license to download and use it. It is there for people who have a legal copy that has become unuseable (due to computer failure for example).
What Mark said plus the fact that the seeing and atmospherics in general have been awful recently. This has made it really difficult to capture any fine detail. I'm in the middle of Norfolk - so not too far from you atmospherically speaking ;) You don't say how many frames you are taking and how man...
Should have said what I use! Skywatcher ED120APO, Canon 1100D for the full disc images - I usually stack around the best 20 or so from 70-90 frames taken. For the close-ups I use a ZWO ASI120mm mono camera. Filters are a Baader solar film and, for the close-ups, a green filter. Processing in PIPP/ R...
Todays Sun (Just about found a gap in the clouds!). The extent of AR 3006, even in white light, is quite astonishing! I reckon it is about 1/4 of the diameter of the disk.

First Sun image for nearly a year due to there being very little to see - the spot count has only increased by 19 since my last image in may 2019 and most of those were tiny and short lived.

First Sun image since last August! Clouds, lack of any sunspot activity and a very busy life at the moment are my excuses! Almost forgotten how to process in addition to Windows complaining about any App that I used (PIPP, Registax5 etc!!) Anyway - stack of 45 from 138 single frames taken with the C...
Not taken a Sun pic for three months!! However all is not lost as I have only missed a dozen tiny spots as we are passing through solar minimum. Usual rig of 120mm APO refractor, Baader Solar film ND 5.0, Canon 1100D, ISO 100, 1/3200 sec exposure. 120 still frames taken. Trimmed in Pipp and then sta...
My first Solar image since the end of October! Working from before dawn to after dusk doesn't help but the weekends have been cloudy or the Sun has come out behind the pesky tree that i have to deal with! Enough excuses! Usual ED120 APO and Canon 1100D set up. Baader film 1/1600sec exposures. 10...
A clear sky when I got home from work - and one of the last opportunities to get a Solar image on a work day as the Sun is now getting low at that time:

Just enough of a gap to get a disk and one close-up today - I believe AR 2683 is most likely the second time round for 2674. 2682 is still showing some spits and spots of activity that were much larger last time round as 2673. 30 September 2017 JPEG.jpg 30 September 2017 Annotated JPEG.jpg 30 Septem...
Today's Sun with a new large AR coming into view- possibly the return of 2673 and all its friends? If it is then we should be in for a good show over the next couple of weeks:

Yes SW ED120 APO in my observatory but in the winter months I use an "ordinary" SW 120mm achromat from a different part of the garden (due to trees). You really can't tell the difference in the final images!
Clear day today! ED120APO, Baader film, Canon 1100D 40/150 single frames stacked, Processed in PIPP, Registax5 and Photoshop including false colouration, Long & Lat grid from "Tilting Sun" freeware: 22 September 2017 JPEG.jpg 22 September 2017 Annotated JPEG.jpg 22 September 2017 Long...
