Which wedge are you using the Lunt or the Baader? ...if you are using the Lunt, you'll want to add a continuum filter...and it's my understanding that the Baader has one already integrate...

I took your advice and reprocessed some of the data from the session...specifically reducing exposure and remapping curve a bit to protect highlights while trying to keep the blacks from crushing.

I definitely see what you mean about additional detail in plage regions.

Unfortunately I did not catch it in Ha for comparison

Pixel size is 5 micron. Since the camera records RAW I can go back and re-render the TIFFs with a lower exposure...see what the plage regions are hiding.

The 3FPM looks really nice but I find it is better suited to an effective focal length between 2000-4000mm...when you start to get much longer I bet the 4FPM you proposed will be perfect

Thanks all...I appreciate the kind words :-) Valery, I'm eager to move up in aperture to the range you mention as I feel I've pushed the 6" as far as possible. My rough calculation gives a per pixel Field Of View of .13 arc"/pixel... So for now I'm trying to decide between a larger ap SCT ...

With the lull in activity I had a chance to look through the data from the past few weeks and found some very lucky captures from mid-June.

Here's one from the 16th using the LS152THa with both a 2x and a 4x TV Powermates (8x the magnification of the LS152's 900mm)
