Nice set of images there, Brian.

The smaller sensor of the ASI1600 is working well there.

A somewhat more quiet disk than we've been used to lately. But those proms and filaments really pop out; nicely captured!

Thanks Alexandra; you're too kind :)

If anything, the past year has been really useful in exploring my local area and discovering some interesting places.

Some more random nature photography

The Sun is still absent here (going several weeks now). But a few other other things to share from the world around us. Thanks for looking! Hope you like it. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50647347593_ecc150826b_o.jpg As above, so below. by Jochen Maes , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/...

Re: Today's SUN (20210103) | LUNT60 (single, double & triple stack)

Interesting side-by-side comparison there, Pedro. Must have been a bit of effort to get all three etalons perfectly tuned.

Out of curiousity, how much did that triple-stack influence the exposure times?

Re: 02 January - Part 1

Nice way to start the year, Brian :)

I'm undecided between the middle and the right one (not that the left one is bad). I think if you sharpened the middle one a bit less (just a tad much I feel), it would be the best one.

Hi Mark. Some nice targeted swearing has never failed me either in getting things solved; nice work! ;) If I understand correctly, you'll be using the laptop for both capturing and processing the data? In that case, the advice given so far in this thread is spot on as far as I'm concerned. A decent ...
