The seeing in the morning was awful, I struggled to get focused
In the afternoon when the mount had flipped the seeing was a little better, I do agree No 2 is better

I agree, my experience with reducers has been hit and miss as well, however as Daystar did this one, I thought I would give it a try and it worked for me after the Quantum direct to my camera

I thought I may struggle too with the reducer, but it was bang on out of the box, it comes native ag .5 and has a 20mm extension for .3, both worked flawlessly, and as a bonus eliminated the newton ring issue.
It was not cheap but I think it is a worthwhile addition

To be honest not really sure, the images are taken 2 x bin 8bit , then through Registax and that’s it apart from a contrast stretch
