Reseating it seems to have done the trick! No idea how it has worked itself loose in the first place, but oh well

Re: Reflection
Yes, it is there with the 178 as well, and it is centered in the middle.
I did not make it home in time to try today. Hopefully I will be able to run a quick test tomorrow

No, not full frame. Taken with my QHY183M (1" sensor). I usually use my ASI178mm, but it died the other night
No, I don't have another BF. But I will try reseating it.

Reflection
Right, I have now got rid of most of the reflections in my Lunt 50. But I am still left with this big one! Is this coming from the first ERF (red filter)? Will tilting it even more get rid of it? I assume tilting it too much would be bad as well?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: My biggest project to date
Thank you Alexandros! Full disk imaging is a little different I think. I think it depends on the frame AS chooses as a reference. If it is slightly distorted, your whole image will be a little off. So you end up with the wobble when creating an animation. I have never had a problem with closeups Fra...

Almost 6 hours worth! 339 movies = 1.93TB. Each movie took over 7 minute to run in AutoStakkert...🤯 So yeah, it took a while to process. To be honest, I'm not sure I will do it again  I wish I could fix the wobble!!! Any tips? I tried PIPP and ImPPG, no good :( Taken with my Lunt50, asi178mm,...

Cheers Alexandra! I will try and add an extension next time. I bought a PMT T-adapter, so you would think it was designed to work at that distance. But I guess it might be different for solar.
My gifs never look good, which is why I prefer a video.

I had some good seeing on the 16th, so I spent 3 hours imaging 2814. Taken with my LS50 mod and a 5x Powermate. Btw, I noticed I get a hotspot with the PM (reflection?). Can I get rid of this some how? You can see it as a faint dark spot moving around center left. Thanks! Can I embed .mp4 files in h...

Re: A quick sun test with a color(!) cam
Thank you all! Boso36, I use SharpCap, 8 bit, and I think it defaulted to .SER files. I bin for two reasons. Because I use a 3x Barlow, binning 2x2 gives me a nice resolution of 0.46"/pixel. Unbinned gives me a resolution of 0.23"/pixel. which is WAY overkill for my seeing. The second reas...

A quick sun test with a color(!) cam
Wow, I did not expect any of this to work! But it did! 1) Color cams suck, and the IMX183 is bad for solar. I fully expected this to be true! But when you bin 2x2, you lose color and end up with "mono". Althought the image is noisy, I did not see any grid problems. :o Of course, with...
