Thanks, in the end I bought a second PST, I used the etalon for a PST mod and unscrewed the eyepiece and put it on my old PST, it worked like a dream

It still looks chilly there Brian ;) you have such long winters. We have had a very benign winter (cold wise) but one of the wettest on record. If you don't like mud, don't come to the UK at the moment. All the blossom is out now though and hasn't been ruined by any frost, so it is looking its best ...

Absolutely fabulous images, I am writing all this down as you are such a good teacher
I saw Comet Pons/Brooks on Wednesday for 1min 30secs, it is amazing how fast my SeeStar attracts clouds, even faster than my Solar telescope

I've no idea how to answer your question about the SeeStar Rainer, these are the images which came straight from the iPhone. It is an alt az mount, will the rotation over half an hour cause the stars to be pancakes?

Some interesting filaments in the first shot, I have never seen them radially arranged before, I see the pattern is gone a day later so it must have been an unstable arrangement
