Zeiss Telementor used as an Ha Scope.

Hello All, This may already have been discussed, but I wondered if anyone had used a Telementor with an ERF ahead of the lens, and either a PST Etalon or a Quark for Solar use or not ?. I do have a pair of lens to use in my PST Etalon, which reduces the Fl to 98 mm, instead of the z200mm standard. C...

Hi Valery, After looking carefully,in my opinion the first one is more appealing, and has very slightly better definition. Though there is not a lot to of difference, probably a personal choice. I just wish my scope would be that good !!!! John. :bow

Hi Brian, The two holes, which you should unscrew ,using a pair of strong dividers, the locking glue is very tight to undo. When you remove the old filter try and make sure you put the new one the same way up. John.

Re: Rusty BF5

Hi Brian ,The tube that screws into the body has to be removed, VERY tight usually, but a boa strap may help. When removed you will find a glued ring with 2 holes which has to be removed, use a pin punch with care, then remove old ITF and replace with the new one.
Hope this help, John.

Re: Rusty BF5

Hello Brian, You can obtain a new ITF filter, which is a straight swop, from Maier Photonics inc, in the USA, mine cost about £55 delivered. Might be slightly different because of exchange rates. This will transform your scope to as good as new.
Hope this might help,
John.
