Hi Valery. Thank you for this info. In fact, Quark will be tested also with SCT (with three front mounted mini ERFs). But trying it with refractor is veeery tempting :)

In fact, the price is an issue. If etalon size doesn't matter much, my friend would go into 0.3A etalon instead of 0.5A :)

I wish I knew this is cemented triplet. I had in the past TS 90/600 triplet apo and it was air spaced for sure. This scope looked the same and even have TS mark on focuser. I have to tell that I didn't track the Sun all the time. I didn't power up the motors and used hands only. Efficent tracking ti...

I would say that I have quadruplet now ;)

It's not about DayStar. Lunt or Coronado solar scopes with internal etalons, have the lenses without external ERF and nothing happens. It's just assembler fault.

Central lens is cracked due to side tension. Lenses from inside and outside are ok.

Gentelmen, I confirm that LS60Tha works very good with LS100 DSII module. I checked it 10 minutes ago :)
Minor ghost effect and glowing. Surface detail is much improved as it should be in double stack. Proms and active regions are very contrasty.

Hi,

ID of the cell is 167mm so it will fit your scope. I can give some flocking material, two layers will solve this 2mm difference.

Walter, unfortunately I never had PST CaK so don't have any adapter for it.

P.S. I can order making another adapter for my SM90/TSapo adapter to make snap-on with it for any refractor.

DS II goes between internal etalon and focuser. Istar lens is F10.
If it doesn't work, I also have other possibility. Now I keep with this plan.

Will do tests using plywood parts (I make big dobs so have plenty) and when find optimal position, I'll order carbon fiber tube. Then some lathe work and anodizing. I already have Moonlite focuser. Seems easy but, I don't think it will be.
