Nice and clear (between the clouds!) and quite a bit to see now the current batch of AR's are moving onto the disc. Stack of 38/200 frames taken with ED120APO, Canon 1100D ISO 100 1/2500sec, Baader solar film. Cropped with PIPP then stacked in Registax 5 and finished in Photoshop, Long and Lat line...

Clear blue skies all day today and very nearly an accident!!! I forgot to put the Solar filter on the scope and nearly fried the camera. I just hit STOP! in time as the scope slewed toward the Sun. It just shows how easy it is to make a mistake when observing or imaging the Sun. Luckily no harm ...
