Conditions were testing to say the least on Saturday, we had Storm Kathleen causing havoc here, with gale force winds from the south not only shaking the scope about, but also bringing up a thick soup of cloud, that when it briefly broke revealed at best a milky sky with high cloud and Saharan dust ...

These are excellent Alfred, even better viewed full size, I prefer number 1, it is lighter - but that may be down to my monitor.

I was imaging the same spot yesterday too, what time UT is this?

Well you know the blockers are good then. What is the scope like in single stack mode for brightness?

Something certainly does not look right with that blocker. Have you owned it from new?

This is with the Lunt80? While a DLSR isn't an ideal camera it is possible to get results with it, just need to practice the technique.

I would say you could drill out the 6mm aperture to 10mm and upgrade yourself to a BF1000

Half an hour well spent James. We had t-shirt weather here this afternoon, it was nice when the sun came out. Away from home stopping with friends at the moment, but back home on wednesday, so hopefully the sun will come out for a bit!

I didn't find a differnce tilting or not, maybe bandwidth of standard Lunt filters is too wide. But one side of fov has always a bit less contrast and I can't get rid of it.
