The Lacerta Wedge is a very fine instrument.
Your CaK pic is beautifull.
What is you setup? You removed the 2 front filters of the Lunt and replaced them with an omega filter and a K-line?
In which order? K-Line first then Omega?

The ever best filter I looked through was a old version SM90 doubly stacked, probably a selected model.

Good that fire capture supports the SSM.
I asked to the fire capture developer some year ago for it, but he had no interest and/or time.

I tried several denoising tools some years ago. I finally remained with neatimage. But I after some use, I was not convinced by the results, and stop using it. For solar imaging, we look for the finest detail. The noise is generally at a very high frequency level. There is no need to denoise low fre...

A mosaic at high resolution is very "hazardous" to me.
Too much depend on the seeing, especially for 6 frames. All frames must be good.

I like High res. shot, this one also :-)
For noise reduction I often apply a very noise reduction. I use a gaussian blur, starting at 0.3 pixel, then adjusting.
