Hi
Have you ever saw any difference between a solarmax filter Vs Solarmax telescope?
Would the 1st one give a better full Ha area view and the 2nd one some spot issue?
solarmax filter or telescope?

Re: solarmax filter or telescope?
The current generation of SolarMax scopes use a smaller internal etalon design - like a larger version of a PST.
Using an external etalon gives IMHO much better results and obviously can be mated to any refractor.
I've used a original SM60 etalon (single and double stacked) on an ED80 (with BF15) for many years. Majic!
