Al Nagler has gone on record to say that all the TV designed Petzval type refractors are 100% safe to use with a Herschel Wedge.
What about the other manufacturers?
Do we have similar assurances from guys like William Optics, Takahashi, and others??
Anyone have written confirmation either way?

Re: Petzval refractors and Herschel Wedge
I've just received emails from Takahashi and Williams Optics confirming that their refractors are safe to use with Herschel Wedges.......

Re: Petzval refractors and Herschel Wedge
I normally only use a daft big achro with a wedge ... have used apos in the past but
never a petzval , imho the best white light views are obtained with a wedge prism and any refractor.

Re: Petzval refractors and Herschel Wedge
I used my Taka FSQ106 with an Hershel diagonal for years with no problem.
The lens are fairly transparent, so they don't heat.
