Hello friends
Do you recommend an F11 +/- refractor, to be used for both the sun and the planets.
I had thought of the Tecnosky 102/1100 or TS, both the ED and normal version.
Unfortunately I have space problems and I can't go overboard with the tube size.
I'd use it on an Avalon Muno mount
I also have a Coronado PST and in the future a daystar.
And I should use everything for both photography and visual.
Alessandro
Danke im voraus

Yes, it's a good scope :) Welcome to the forum.

Longer focal length refractors are usually very good on visual views of the sun, moon and planets. It's recommended with an achromat since the longer FL reduces spurious color. You can go shorter with ED and apochromatic scopes since their better glass and multiple lens elements control chromatic aberration much better.

Shorter FL ED apochromats take up less space than classic long FL achromat designs.

Thanks for the answers, I think I will take a TS 102/1100 ED, if you have other ideas shot

The Tecnosky and TS 102/1100 are the same scope made by United Optics. There is no ED version as it is an Achromat. It is quite a long telescope and would not be suitable for an M Uno.

If you are looking to stock to a fairly low budget then I would suggest the Tecnosky or TS 102/714 ED Doublet. This is F7. It is more than double the cost (I sell it for £899) but it has a better focuser, can be used with rear mounted solar filters, is far better corrected and would work on an M Uno as it is much shorter.
