Does anyone know of any tutorials for the ZWO T / T2 Tilter Adapter? I just got one to help combat those pesky newton rings but there were no instructions with it or on their web site (that I could find). I contacted ZWO support and all they told me was to loosen the small screws and tighten the larger screws (or maybe the opposite). Tried it out today with my ZWO ASI178 (which seems to be a newton rings magnet) and I could not see any difference - rings did not change or go away. So I must not be working it correctly. I haven’t found any useful YouTubes either. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: How to Use a ZWO T / T2 Tilter Adapter
Join the club Robert!!! I've had one for 2 years now and have never fathomed how to use it. All it does is make the rings worse or go back to original. I can't move the darn thing to make it tilt no matter what I try, or I spend hours just losing the Sun in the telescope and trying to find it again as I have pushed so hard on the screws. I found it wasted so much time in the Sun I abandoned the thing.
Merlin wrote an excellent guide for me, to try and explain it it. My husband understood exactly what he meant and demonstrated it to me how it worked from his instructions. But it is still a mystery to me, I don't get it. My hubby laughed when he saw me nearly throw it in the bin. It may as well be a Rubik's cube puzzle.
If I could find Merlin's fantastic guide on here I would share it, but I don't think I will be able to find it. I kicked myself as I should have saved it.
Sorry for being so negative, but I just don't get it. I use a flat, much quicker and more simple (if not a full disc).

The Daystar interference eliminator works like a charm
https://www.astroshop.pt/adaptadores-ba ... t2/p,23247
I use mine all the time with a ZWO ASI174MM and a Quark Cromosphere
It is not cheap but it is better than all the other tilting adaptors.

Re: How to Use a ZWO T / T2 Tilter Adapter
This or similar items have never really been necessary for me (for whatever reason) even though some time ago I did have a small NR problem, but overcame that by whatever method - I can't remember.
Perhaps (if not already tried - which most likely you have both tried), off of the scope and preferable with a CALLIPER or MICROMETER, make changes to the tilter-adjustment screws and measure the tilter-platforms/spaces to work-out what it might or should be doing.
That would be my initial-preferred methodology... If it shows signs of tilting, then the snag must be somewhere else ??
Otherwise, as Pedro says, but spending more dosh !!

Re: How to Use a ZWO T / T2 Tilter Adapter
I Use the rowan tilt adapter which does the job. I am not sure the ZWO adapter has enough tilt to correct NR's as it's more for deep sky work.
The problem with the Rowan is that you can't adjust tilt in real time, you have to remove-adjust-test until you get there.
The daystar interference eliminator however, can be adjusted in real time but is very expensive for what it is.
