Wanted-Part for Solar Max 60

Post by mselph »

Wanted - Part for Coronado Solar Max 60, telescope bought in 2009--- FOCUSER DRAW TUBE
Explanation -- I accidentally damaged the drawtube for this telescope, although it still works, but not very well. Maybe somebody has one for an 2009 scope which is otherwise broken? I ordered a replacement from the manufacturer, but they sent a complete focuser assembly instead, which is a little different from mine, and does not fit my scope.
( P.S. ) I dragged one photo twice, since it did not show up on the screen, so thought it didn't work.

The damage occurred because one of the plastic screws which hold it in place at the desired focus ( there are 2 altogether ) broke off inside its hole, and every method I tried ( many ) to get it out, failed. It was just too old, I think. So the end result was 1) damage to the threads inside the screw hole so that it now longer accepts any screws ( I got new ones from the manufacturer ), and 2) bits of broken screw that fell inside the focuser ( the focuser cannot be taken apart ), which sort of inhibits its motion when the inside part is moved to get a good focus.
However, it can be held in place with the remaining screw usually, and it can be focused with some difficulty.
