Hi All,
For sale is my Coronado BF10 blocking filter. I have owned it from new for about 10 years and came with my SM40 scope. I have BF15s now and haven't used this for some time.
The potential buyer needs to be aware the ITF is rusted and will need to be replaced. I checked this visually yesterday through my Lunt50 scope looking at the sun, the view is low contrast and much dimmer than my other blocking filters. The is easily and cheaply ($75) done with the Maier Photonics ITF https://maierphotonics.com/656bandpassfilter-1.aspx The old ITF will remove by unscrewing the retaining ring, and can be replaced by the new ITF, screwing the retaining ring back in. No special tool is needed for this and can be done by hand as only needs to be finger tight.
The blocker as can be seen from the pictures has signs of wear on the exterior branding etc but optically (apart from rusted ITF!) is excellent.
Cost is £200, which adding on $75 for new ITF is still less than the current new price of £645 https://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/cor ... lters.html
Post and packing free in UK, rest of world at cost of service to buyer. Payment by paypal please.
