Hi,

Just as an additional info. Those BF 30 have a lifetime warranty against rust. So if you send it in to the dealer you bought it from he should get a new one for you from Meade.

I have 3 of them and I already got them exchanged 2x ... The other possibility is to take out the rusted part and glue a 12nm H-alpha deep sky filter in front of it. That is what I did the last time when one of my BF30 was rusted. It just takes too long to get the exchange filters back to Mexico from USA.

WARNING ¡ I only use that solution for imaging ! so I do not know if that is a solution for visual.

regards Rainer

Dave, do you have any photos you've taken through either the scope or 90?

Thanks Dave.

Can see lots of FD images with the DS40 - nice flat contrasty field! Looks like images from before a certain date don't exist anymore on here :(

Any with the 90 you can point me to? I'm right in saying it's a single stack filter rather than a double stack unit?

I'm probably a little late to the party, but is the 90mm still available?
