Hi everyone...
Infrared Blocking Filter - UV/IR cut on Schott KG3

Re: UV/IR cut on KG3 glass - Infrared Blocking Filter
Hi Oliver
thank you very much, perfect. But there are UV/IR cuts which block 393 and 396. I would take just an IR block for the CaK jobs. The D-ERF from Baader blocks < 400 nm too

Intersting curve there Oliver regards the CaK - nice steep slope at 393nm, could have potential to tighten up the passband of a Baader K-line...
I'm away from home at the moment, but when I return I shall be placing an order for one of these filters.

I've ordered one of the UV-IR KG3 filters to test and trial on the various Ha scopes I have....

Hi Oliver,
I have a question - what thickness is the KG3 in this filter?
Thanks,
Mark

Re: UV/IR cut on KG3 glass - Infrared Blocking Filter
Very interested in the outcome. I am looking for an ITF so I can re use the blocking filter off my PST (an original style USA one with no separate ITF) instead of using the Lunt B600 off my LS35T.
