My friend at NATCA Bruce and I have already setup an entirely different site under a different test link for the new updated Kunena and Joomla software. I am working on the cosmetics now and trying to find out how to import the 48 million records of info from one php table to the other along with the 13GB of attachments.
Im not going to mess around and try stuff until I know we won't lose any data. This site has become socially and scientificaly relevant to a lot of people and I won't risk losing the massive amount of useful data on the hobby that we have accumulated thanks to our posters, librarians and nodders, etc...
Please bare with us for a little awhile longer with the long delays in posting while we get the new site finished and do a real time import of the post data and user accounts.
I may ask some of you to go and try out the new forum before it goes live. It will look mostly the same as it is the latest version of the same software, but I know that we will probably lose a little this or a little that-cant be avoided.
Thanks for your patience and loyalty to our little grassroots forum.
