I am headed to Mitchell, Oregon. I saw my first total solar eclipse in February 1979 just 70 miles north or Mitchell in Maryhill, Washington. This will be my fifth total eclipse, having also seen them in Voi, Kenya 1980; Hula, Papua New Guinea 1984; and Todos Santos, Mexico in 1991. I am so excited, I can barely sleep at night!

Hi everyone...

This will be my first total solar eclipse...witnessed many partials and a lovely annular eclipse back in 1994 that was only a few hours drive to the centerline.

My family and I are heading to Colorado to explore the mountains before stopping in Ravenna Nebraska for the eclipse on the return trip. Meeting up with a good friend and his family for the eclipse...he has been to 2 previous total eclipses, so I'm relying on his expertise too make the most of the event.

I live in Arkansas and will probably drive to Potosi or Farmington MO. May go to the Mark Twain NP. Weather "may" be acceptable.

Just going to wing it. I am driving from Houston after work on Friday with a friend and will head to where there are less people and even less clouds. The plan is Nebraska and find a farmer who will take a couple hundred dollars to allow setup for a few days. Probably won't have much of a background for images on wide field but will get some night imaging done during new moon.

Boise National Forest, Idaho. We bailed on our Salem reservations due to the traffic horror stories surrounding Portland.
