2020-04-01 - AR (Ha & CaK)

Post by JochenM »

We're being spoiled as far as nice weather goes over here. Although that probably means we'll pay it back with weeks of rain soon enough :D

Conditions were fair. Decently clear sky with ok seeing (not great, but definitely not bad either).

CaK: 80ED f7 (stopped down to 60mm for the full disk), IMX174. HA: Lunt LS50, IMX178.

Thanks for looking.

Jochen,

Your photos show the location of the spots within the AR very well. Yours also verifies the detached or nearly detached prominence I saw just a short while ago. Hopefully someone will do a animation of it.

Thanks guys.

Probably going to look into getting myself a somewhat more powerful HA setup for high(er) resolution work this summer (a few ideas in my head already). This is all done with a very moderate LS50 and obviously hitting the limitations of what it can do in that regard (still keeping it though, very happy with it).
