The Sun - 15th June 2020

Post by David_The_Bears_Fan »

More sunshine this morning and still lots to see. Messed up my Ca-K full disk mosaic today, kicking myself for such a school-boy error now :( Still, lots to show for the session. I may have missed the Ca-K FD but still got a white light disk with the Bresser.

Back with the Evostar and there was some nice looking granulation on show

And the AR in close up in both WL and Ca-K

To be fair there wasn't much else happening on the Ca-K disk anyway but that's not the point.
Then came the proms, all shot with the ASI178 in 2xw bin mode first one shot @1000mm focal length and the rest @2500mm

Can't wait to see your WL closeups of a sunspot.

Hi David,

I thought the 4th image (CAK close-up of departing AR) is definitely a winner.
