AR2767 CaK, July 24th, 2020

Post by LTHB »

Here my CaK version of AR2767.

Image

With higher resolution CaK images I still have not settled on anything like a standard workflow for processing, in particular sharpening is very much a trial and error affair. I have, again, taken the DOT images as an model, and the only tentative generalization from my attempts so far is that unsharp mask (in addition to some moderate deconvolution) is much more important/useful than with h-alpha.

Full resolution here: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/501 ... 3f34_o.jpg

Kind regards,

Frank

Nicely done, Frank.

Cheers.

Hi Frank,

That is an awesome CAK close-up of AR 2767. Peter has asked about the scope. What is your full setup? Can show us a photo of your setup and CAK filter?

This is a great image Frank, I think you have the post processing spot on, not over sharpened at all.
