AR 2786 surrounded by waves

Post by yltansg » Thu Dec 03, 2020 5:56 am

3Dec - We had a brief moment of fair seeing this morning. It was good enough to catch AR 2786 surrounded by waves of plasma. Setup: C11 with an ARIES D-ERF, Daystar Chromosphere and Basler ace acA1920-155uc camera.

Image

Processed in AS!3, ImPPG and minor level and contrast adjustment in PS. Main credit goes to the equipment.

Hi Alfred,

This image of the nice AR2786 is fantastic.

Thanks Pedro, Valery and Mark.

All credit goes to the equipment. The seeing condition was fair with tons of fleeting clouds. Very glad I caught this nice shot.

The active region is near the limb and the combination of all features gives us a sense of depth, a kind of 3-D effect. The darker filaments seem to be higher than the brighter areas. I must take more time to enjoy it and also figure out the high and low areas :)

I will go through the other video recordings to see if there are any other good ones.
