Ha Full Disk 5th December

Post by marktownley »

Hi All,

Hope you are all good, Not as much time as I would like to spend here atm, i've been dipping in as much as possible. Got lucky today and was what a grotty forecast the day turned out quite nice with blue skies. I set up with the DS50 and enjoyed some nice views through the eyepiece. I knew with the near solstice sun I didn't have much time before it headed into the urban horizon and so went for a full disk. Using 2x2 binning hugely under samples what this setup is capable of, but with an easterly wind the seeing was rolling and so this undersampling made getting an decent image possible.

It's nice to be able to get some sun at this time of year, and I hope the Christmas period will give fine weather for observing.

Clear skies and sunshine!

Mark

Hi Mark,

Excellent discs. Still clouds in NHSA ...

Interesting is that nobody has asked what " NHSA " means
