Sunshine 31st December

Post by marktownley »

Today was lovely and sunny all day, and with the snow that fell in a freeze thaw flux throughout the day things are getting pretty icy. Water vapour was continually rising in a mist from surfaces that were in sunlight and this was having a noticeable effect on the seeing. First up the Ha full disk, Lunt 50 etalon double stacked with a Quark.

I was liking the proms and filaments today. Southern hemisphere is still the dominant.

The filaprom was definitely my favourite feature today, I'm glad you also got a view :hamster: :bow blue sky wasn't forecast here and it was hit and miss but worth it for the view :)
