Crisp Sunrise

Post by MapleRidge »

Hi everyone...

I have not had many clear sunrises of late, so it was nice to catch the sun as it rose this morning. I was out early to clear snow and grabbed this pic with my cell phone as the sun started to make an appearance:

It was also the coldest morning we have had so far this winter, but even -19C is a lot better than more seasonal January mornings  Here is a shot of my weather station at the time I took the sunrise pic:

Will be heading to the observatory shortly to do some imaging!

Keep warm Brian with that outside temperature - phew that is well freezing. I suspect you are used to it.

Excellent clear view and the image too.

Rainer, Alexandra, and Terry...

Thanks for the feedback on my sunrise this morning :bow

Terry...we have been spoiled by much warmer weather than usual this winter. We are in for a a few days of more 'normal' weather if the weather forecast is to be believed.

There was a lot of solar details this morning, but the seeing was not good at all in the cold.
