Ha FD and a close view of the small active region

Post by Carbon60 »

It was getting late in the morning and the seeing conditions were deteriorating fast on an otherwise beautiful day.

Ha FD on the Lunt 60 with Coronado BF. This is a bit under sampled on the Basler acA1920-155um camera with a 1.5x Barlow. I usually use a 2.5x Powermate for a better match to the pixel size.

and I couldn't resist a quick image of the small active region in spite of the seeing. I didn't want to risk over sharpening in ImPPG, so the image is a little 'soft' as a result.

Thanks for looking.

A cracking close-up Stu, showing fine detail of the disintegrating AR.
Shame the disks aren't busier today, but the nice-long filament is interesting.

Thanks vm
Terry

Looks like it could be almost, one filament below that AR, nice.

Very nice discs Stuart. I like the detail in the plage closeup. You did very well considering the seeing conditions! 👍🏻
