A few nice days in the sun.

Post by GUS »

Thanks to La Nina, we've had some real crap weather conditions for a very long time. This week presented a couple of sunny days so decided to take out the Ha scopes and enjoy the nice conditions. Clouds were rolling through all day, but the seeing was very good, and there were a few proms on display and I was able to scrutinize them at quite high power with the LS100 SS. I sold off my ASI174 and EQ mount a couple of years ago so have nothing to image with at the moment so decided to see what I could get with my mobile phone and the result below was better than expected. To tell you the truth, I haven't missed imaging much I really enjoy visual observing. A couple of shots of my equipment are included below, thanks for looking.

Indeed as Raf has just said and I wouldn't be surprised if you can even do better with the mobley, where the image captured is still good for a close-up !!

Excellent scope too..

Thanks for sharing

I have used my iPhone quite a bit for solar imaging. It can do pretty dern good.

Nice setup. Pretty sky and surroundings. You obviously have been into solar for some time.
