good evening to all,
last week, I look by curiosity the site "transit finder" and I discover that the ISS passes in front of the sun on June 13 at 10:05 UT visible .... from my home !
So, big blue sky, no need to move, I made the effort to try it!
at the fs60 with its sm40 double stack, BF10, glasspath x1.7 and zwo178mm
camera setting :
FPS (avg.)=41
Shutter=2.125ms
Gain=100
Gamma=40
film (slow motion x4) of transit reduced to 50%.
two things are noticeable: the "transit train" is not regular and the ISS even makes a retrograde movement .... which (unless Thomas wanted to turn around to take my picture ) is not quite normal.
I suspect that the rolling shutter of my camera is responsible for this.
Well, I did get an image from the film anyway
Sincerely
stéphane

Excellent capture of the ISS Stephane!
How did you manage to get a so small in size gif out of the original capture? What was your process? Did you select/extract specific frames from the video one by one and then made the gif out of them?
And how did you make the photo? Just stacking the video capture gives back all the ISS positions on the sun?
Best wishes,
Alexandros
