Heya,
I got a small break late afternoon today after it rained some more, despite all these hurricanes, tropical storms and bad weather I've had since the beginning of June. Seeing wasn't terrible, so I got what I could quickly between clouds on AR2860 which is rounding the limb with some great limb prominence action going on, surge proms, etc, and the rapidly forming new AR2863 with its activity.

Marty,
It's nice to see you back. I had wondered where you had been. And as usual you have returned with some awesome images. The middle refractor in your images is very similar to my Celestron 102. I actually have two of them. I bought the second from a yard sale several years ago for 50 bucks!. The mount is a Celestron CG4 which is not in the best of shape and the 102mm objective has some coating damage. I need to see if I can get the scope operational. Externally they are very similar. The NexStar 102 has a plastic dewshield while the other C102 a metal one like in your image. Optically both are 102mm F10.
Welcome back.
James

A beautiful set, Marty. The weather has been awful here too but I have good hopes for the weekend.
