Morning Moon 28th November

Post by marktownley »

After storm Arwen passed through with its snow and gales on Saturday, Sunday morning dawned with clear skies and frost. The moon was pretty much on the meridian around 5am, with some scudding haze. First off full disk 100mm f8 with FLIR camera.

I wanted to try the above scope with my APM1.6x telecentric and the ZWO290mm, it gives a nice sampling scale.

Pleased with the results, maybe even might get some sun later too...

Mark

Amazing results Mark, so glad you had clear skies too :bow :hamster: The weather folks predicted sunny skies all week for Sunday morning, I awoke to cloud, then it snowed all day. What kind of a forecast was that?

Hi Mark,
You've done very well with imaging at that "unearthly" hour, of an unearthly object in the very earthly cold weather..

These are absolutely excellent captures and thanks for sharing

I also want to do some Lunar imaging, but had work to do at that "unearthly" hour, so will wait for another opportunity.

Cheers
Terry
