Re: More local wildlife
Wow!! you certainly know how to make someone smile
I love the mirror effect on the white duck (Aylesbury duck/white Mallard?)
Also the Yellow Wagtail threw me, it has a grey head, I thought to myself, don't yellow wagtails have a yellow/olive head, what is this? So I looked it up in my book and educated myself, I didn't realise that Britain has a different sub species. You have Motacilla flava and we have Motacilla flavissima with a yellow/olive head. Well, you learn something new everyday

Re: More local wildlife
Thanks Alexandra.
Very interesting! I had no idea about that either (I've only ever seen them with the grey head and white stripe). Apparently (quick Google ), the Motacilla flavissima does exist over here, but is very rare.
Our reflected friend is a white mallard indeed.

Re: More local wildlife
Thanks Franco.
I live in the northeastern part of Belgium (place called Heusden-Zolder in case your're curious). I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of nature (and hence wildlife) pretty close to home (although Belgium as a whole is pretty small to begin with ). Lots of green within walking distance, two national parks a 20-30 minute drive away etc. So plenty to pick from.
Bottomline, I can't complain
