Spring in full swing (birds/plants)
While the weather hasn't been too kind to do any kind of solar astronomy lately; it has been downright great for my other passion (nature photography). Coming across new species almost every time I go out.
Thanks for looking.

Oh my goodness!! you are so talented but also very lucky, to see the Cuckoo!!! I think I have only seen one once in my life and that was in Scotland about half a mile away on a wire I dream of a view like that
The dandelion is perfection!
I wonder what the little warbler is looking up to the heavens above. That's really made my very wet day

Re: Spring in full swing (birds/plants)
Thanks Alexandra
The cuckoo was an incredibly lucky find indeed. While they're quite present here this time of year; they're extremely difficult to photograph (always hiding in the most impossible positions/locations). I've never gotten a shot even remotely close to this one (and probably won't again for a long time to come ).

Hi Jochen,
Marvellous pictures! Thanks for posting. So many animals !
Is this a local park or a zoo?
I would be interested in what camera lens/focal length you were using for these, lovely bokeh !

Re: Spring in full swing (birds/plants)
Thanks Magnus!
Regarding the zoo or park question. It's neither actually All of these were done in the wild (forests, marshlands,...). Not too crazy about the zoo (birds in captivity and all that) and parks.
All of these were shot with a Nikon D500. The lens used depends a bit on the situation, but it's either a Nikon 500 pf or 500 f4. The last one sometimes paired with a 1.4x teleconverter if the additional reach is necessary.
