Hi,
This cactus so far it is the 4th time flowering and the first time with 3 flowers in a row. They last at most 3 days until they disappear.
Still no Sun, so looking for other things to photograph

Hi Terry,
Yes, all cactii do flower some time in the year.
I was wrong. The flowers did not last not even 24 hours
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echinopsis_oxygona
and here another one which for the first time has 4 flowers. It is a " Peyote " rom which the mescaline is extracted.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peyote
Long time ago I did a lot of nature photography and here in my oage you can find under " Nature " the cactiicollection among other stuff I photographed long time ago.
http://rsfotografia.com/2English/MenuEnglish.html
and this I would say it a one time in life photograph at least for me. A bit small the image but in those times the biggest monitors where 1024 x 768 pixels

Hi Rainer...
Great pics of the cactus flowers and love the hummingbirds too...excellent shots
The cactus reminds me of of one that my grandmother had many years ago. It grew slowly over some 40 years or so, then one day it grew that 'arm' and produced a big trumpet flower. It flowered regularly after that, sometime with multiple flowers. I wonder where that went after she and my grandfather passed away...I need to see if my mother still has it.
Thanks for memory kick-start
Brian
