Waxing Gibbous Moon 15th October 2021

Post by Carbon60 »

This is my first Moon image in months, now that earlier dark evenings are upon us.

78% Waxing Gibbous phase in monochrome.

I'm hoping to take some enhanced coloured images over the winter months, so called 'mineral Moon' images, if everything comes together.

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

Very nice lunar image Stuart :bow

The early darkness helps make deep sky work easier to get started, and its harvest season here for corn and soybeans so that matches up with the change in day length too.

Hi Alexandra,

I know what you mean…..cold and dark compared with the warm pleasures of solar imaging. I do appreciate the desolation and ruggedness of the Moon, though and that’s what motivates me. :)
