H-Alpha Sun on Pi Day in Singapore

Post by yltansg » Wed Mar 14, 2018 1:39 pm

Pi Day turned out to be another very cloudy day. There was lot of turbulence too but that didn't stopped me from doing some H-Alpha imaging.

Here is the setup.
Image

Frankenscope = ARIES D-ERF + 150mm Celestron 150mm Omni XLT + Lunt 50mm THa solar telescope + x5 barlow + ASI174mm with a tilt adjuster

Its another spotless sun on a cloudy Pi Day. The departing plages unveiled by the Frankenscope -

A very nice image, Alfred, specially given the turbulence and conditions.
