30th May 2021 catch up
I managed to actually process some images the other day to start my image catch up. Starting with the 30th May 2021. The seeing was super, I started off with the C11 in white light and I already posted that ages ago now.
I then moved on to CaK through the stopped down to 100mm TEC140 at 1x and 5x powermate

That's a lovely series there. I know what you mean about finding time to process. 20 seconds to capture and 20 mins to process each one!!

Re: 30th May 2021 catch up
That's the biggest issue I have with imaging. It takes so much time to set up, take down and process the images. To do it often I would need to retire to have the time. I can observe visually so much quicker.
That being said I see use for imaging and it has it's rewards. CaK is certainly on my list since it cannot be easily observed at the eyepiece. I hope to soon order a Lunt CaK module for my AT72EDII refractor. There is currently a two month backlog on them.

It can be easily observed on a screen. No need to record and to process!DeepSolar64 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 1:16 am

Re: 30th May 2021 catch up
Woooowwww Alexandra!!!
Amazing set of images!
Everything is so well captured and processed. There is nothing I would leave out of the basket!
But since I have a little preference for animations, I loved you CaK animation a lot!!!
I never saw one here before in my short solachat life. Congratulations!
Best wishes,
Alexandros
