AVI is too long

I accidentally recorded an .avi for far too long and it is 23gb. Way too big for AS!2 to handle. Is there a way to trim it to just the first 500 frames so I can process it?

Randall, VirtualDub should do the task for you. I have deleted parts of avi files using this software.
