First Posts - Today's Sun
Hello All,
new to the forum. Recently restarted doing some astronomical images again. Switched interest from planetary imaging to solar imaging.Last week my Quark Chromosphere and i was able to do some testing last Saturday and Today. After struggling with Newton rings, and other interference here are todays images.
These were taken with an 80mm F/6 refractor - with Quark Chromosphere (f/25.8). Camera used was a ZWO ASI-178MM (with tilt adapter to suppress the Newton rings) Still some work to be done, but for the first results I am fairly happy.
Regards,
Paul

Re: First Posts - Today's Sun
Thanks all for the nice welcome. Next days will be needed for further testing Quark settings (not really played with tuning yet) and also some changes to my technical setup. (Making some changes to the computer to telescope mount, limiting the bunch of cables running from my house to the telescope) So this will take some time. Also some reading required on processing techniques (especially getting rid of overexposed solar disc when imaging proms, something you never need when imaging planets)
Rgrds,
Paul
