Holiday Aurora borealis

Post by rbenton »

I loved Mark Townley's aurora photos, but more remarkable, I was in Borgarnes, Iceland - just a few kilometers north of him. My family chose to meet in Iceland for the week of Christmas. I was up late every night hoping for aurora action without any luck until Christmas night. Then on the 26th it was even better. I will try to post a couple photos.
Mark, I wish I had known you were so close, we could have made arrangements to meet.

I specially like the third one. It should be very impressive to be there looking at these aurora.

Very beautiful. These are lovely images of the spectacular boxing day aurora.

Excellent shots! Crazy we were so close, we've been into Borgarnes most days since being here. Don't you just love the bakery by the causeway. I take it you're not there now?
