Full disk Sun 02-01-2018

Post by rsfoto »

Hi,

Another nice Sunny day for imaging as well as testing the DIY SSM. The seeing was not as good as yesterday but still good.

For those who have not seen a Blue Sky I dedicate them the next image. You are welcome to visit me here in the half dessert in México, about 420km north of Mexico City in the city with the name San Luis Potosí.

Thanks for the blue sky! That is a great textured Sun (albeit pretty quiet).
I hope to get out soon!

Hi Alexandra,

Thanks and yes I was wondering too why those bright spots are not catalogued as Sunspots as for me they look like Sunspots but well the Prfessionals do have their reasons.

BTW I just took a look at the Spaceweather website and there in their White light image there are some hints of the bright area at 9 o'clock. Perhaps that one becomes one

My full disk are oriented in such a manner that the north pole is exactly on top and East on the left so in this case the equator for this image is nearly horizontal. As the days pass by the north of my Sun move according to the position of the earths north Pole.
