I’mm Under cloud this I weekend and Monday is a provincial holiday so no work, so that makes it more frustrating that it is cloudy.

I have been having problems with the two main mounts (GoTo not cooperating on one and a dead servo to change on the other), so I have a maintenance weekend. Most likely spend most of today at the farm cleaning up syrup supplies so I’m ready to tap when we get home from a week in Punta Cana in early March.

There is a call for some random clear skies at times today, but if I miss them it isn’t a bog loss based on the activity level.

Hope you get things solved with your mounts Brian

I also had some problems recently with my Takahashi EM200 (bad contacts - hand control)

I bought recently a Taka EM400 that I will install soon under the dome. I will get it next week

Eric...

The dead servo is the easier of the two...finally dug out me spare if I need it. I’m not sure if the dec motor is dead or jammed. It worked fine on Friday night but while imaging Jupiter early Saturday morning the Gemini was giving dec lag warnings and then stalled mortor. I’ll have to dismantle it and check if it is the motor or other physical issue. The spare motor does work when hooked to the Gemini so I have an option if the motor is the cause.

Congrats on the EM400...a friend has one and it is a very accurate unit. Looking forward to seeing it installed in your observatory.

Nice ismages, Pedro.

Too bad for us solar fricks that the Sun is so quiet. However this is good for the Earth and our civilisation.

Congrats with EM400 purchase.

Valery

A nice trio of disks Pedro, hopefully we'll see something interesting the days ahead. Congrats on your new mount too.
