9 Mar 18 H-Alpha Sun from Singapore (11 Mar18 images added)

Post by yltansg »

I have put hi-res imaging on hold as we continue to have cloudy days.

In between clouds, I did FD, X3 barlow and x5 barlow imaging with ASI174mm camera with a NR eliminator. Scope was a Borg 77 fitted with a DS Solarscope SF50 etalons.

Image

Full disk imaging show a spotless Sun.

The image with a x3 barlow:

And next stretching it further with a x5 barlow:

Hope clouds will go away soon.

Alfred

Nice images, Alfred. Hopefully more Sun and less cloud to come.

Thanks Alexandra, Brian and Mark.

Though it has been very cloudy almost every day, patience paid off with some images using the SF50DS on a Borg 77 refracotr and the ARIES D-ERF on a 150mm refractor and Lunt 50Tha.

FD in H-Alpha on 11 Mar 18 using the Borg 77 + DS SF50

Just managed to get 1 chance with the hybrid. Was glad to have got the following image before clouds covered all....

Very nice images considering the conditions and a great set-up, Alfred.

Here we are waiting tonight for the THIRD Nor'easter in less than two weeks..... no solar imaging, only snow

Thanks Franco. Hope weather will turn for the better for you. Over here the skies continue to be cloudy throughout most days.
