Solar Proms in HA, Disc in CA, Quark, 120mm | April 11th 2018

Post by MalVeauX »

Hey all,

Some nice prom groups on the limbs today. My seeing was poor despite some good clarity after tons of storming the past two days. No spots of course. But at least some nice prom groupings.

Setup:

Celestron Omni XLT 120
Quark Chromosphere for HA + Baader UV/IR Cut Filter
Skybender (393nm) for CA
Orion Sirius (HEQ5)
ASI174MM

With 0.5x focal reducer to get all the groupings (plus really bad seeing):

No reducer:

Very best,
