This morning's proms, three big ones | Quark | April 14th 2018

Post by MalVeauX »

Heya,

The arching proms have fallen back into the chromosphere, but some great candle light proms are still protruding and have lots of interesting wispy detail. There were other prominence structures that were super feint, so I pulled them from the data. I included a small HA disc to show scale of the proms from that sense, compared to the high res proms here. Seeing was dreadful despite it being morning. Sometimes it was a 1 out of 5, but generally was less, makes it tough chasing the seeing. The little plage spot is still roaming the surface, keeping an eye on it.
