Minor Ca-H activity of May 6th

Post by krakatoa1883 »

No much activity today, AR12708 does show only few tiny spots in a modest bright plage. I imaged the disc and the AR with my 150mm refractor with aperture reduced, results are similar to those I obtained with my 80mm apo, no much difference. Turbulence was too high for making use of the 130mm newtonian.

Based on SDO images another active region seems to be emerging from the E limb, now is still beyond sight.

Thanks for your comments. The system works best with slow scopes, say up to about f/10, at lower f/ratios images are slightly less detailed (and achromats add their own color aberrations).
