More fun today, this time with the 3x Barlow. This is my best with the Contiuum filter

I then tried a 685nm filter (as suggested by Christian and Valery). The seeing is less choppy but the exposure time is 3x longer and the contrast less easy to see for focus. So I am not sure I really like it.

at 2x there is a strange reflection too

I then tried the Baader K-line, that was awful! I am still not convinced this filter is clear as I have never been able to focus anything through it. I am also not convinced you see anything different through it anyway

Just when I was packing up near lunchtime I discovered on Spaceweather that there was a tiny spot group, so I went back and tried in Continuum in poor seeing at that time.

Hell Alexandra,
Nice to see your high res images with C11 scope.
Granulation is near perfect and I especially like the image of the spots.
BTW. To make imaging at red light easier, make a gamma setting to a lower value (high contrast).

Nice granulation images again Alexandra. It seems you have some very good seeing !
The K-line is no good for the Celestron SC. The spherical aberration is to large in the near UV.
Have you seen the green flash ?

Good catch with the boat transit. That WL is great to see.I,ve never thought muck of that CaK filter.I’ll leave that typo seems somewhat appropriate.

All great images, Alexandra ! My favorites are the last of the granulation series and the boat transit.

Great granulation image, Alexandra, the Continuum filter seems to be the best for your setup.
I had the same reflection problem with my 150 mm achromat. It occured on an air/glass surface of the Barlow lens when using the photo grade Astrosolar, never seen with the Herschel prisms or the visual grade.

The continuum image works the best there Alexandra.
