Re: Takahashi EM-400 German Equatorial Mount
Thanks Bruce
I use the EM400 mainly to image the sun and moon. This means that I do everything by hand (no computer control). In high speed (24V) it takes a while to do a meridian flip. When tracking after the meridian I'm not sure which is the limit before I have to do a flip (with my Paramount ME I am limited to 20min, after this it will stop tracking)

Awesome looking machine
Probably a dumb question for a high end mount but...
Is there no "flip" with this mount? It looks like it takes a good while for it to do a high speed mode turn. Is this mount built such that it never has to stop tracking one direction and turn everything around the other direction so that it can continue tracking?

Re: Takahashi EM-400 German Equatorial Mount
Hi,
Very nice Mount. I have only Takahashi telescopes but an EM 400 is out of question due to the price and bringing it to Mexico
